So, who's hyped for this? I haven't played AC properly since the DS one came out. I'm okay with doing more of the same.

This will be a day one for me too. I've been looking forwards to this more than any other game since its announcement. I SP alot so i'll benefit from the trading systems well. I have high expectations and the fact the japanese have bought it by the tonne is a good sign.

I've never played an AC game before. What do you do?
Can you hire your own muscle to collect or do you get them after story related quests?
Is there an extortion tab I can slide to really do a number on the other town occupants when the railroads come? -
I'm in. Â Been away from the series since the DS game & tbh, was not really intrested in returning untill I watched that trailer. Â Was a load of us that played together on the old NOE forum together(fantastic AC community helped me collect all the Gyroids) & the more there are of you, finishing collections & getting top dolla for your turnips are a breeze.

Got the Wii version for the kids some time ago - seems quite cool - if you match up friends you can visit each other's towns. Supports Wii Speak too.
Haven't spent much time on it myself - has loads of charm but seems to be a grind style game which I tend not to like - might be wrong on that though...Holding the wrong end of the stick since 2009. -

Can you still collect fossils? If so, day one for me.
I spent an insane amount of time on this back in the GC days (pre children!).
A handheld version sounds like a proper time sink - but fuck it, I'M IN. -

I played the one on the cube alot with some mates. Was loads of fun. Wasn't that bothered about the DS one but i never owned a DS myself so played it sparingly. -

I've never heard of any GC game not working on the Wii - unless of course you have the later models that have no GC compatability (nor the memory card slot or controller ports - kind of easy to spot).
