I used to love these in the back of Official Ninty Magazine.

So, here's the plan.

- Every two weeks, a game will be named, a level/gametype/etc specified, and a cut-off date.
- During that period, you have to achieve a high score on that game.
- It must be a new score you have achieved for that timeframe. You cannot use your existing high scores!
- Take a photo of your score and some sort of proof it's a recent picture, and upload it to the thread or PM it to me.

Maybe I'll get prizes sorted out or something, I dunno.

Rules: Achieve a high score in the Deadline gametype. This is the mode whereby you have 3 minutes and unlimited lives to score as high as you can. Good hunting!

Might stretch the challenge to two weeks at a time, if that's better for everyone.

Also be good to get future game ideas. Halo Firefight modes come to mind. And then, when people keep complaining about games they don't own, Hexic HD.

Not owning a PS3, I'm not clued up on the PSN, but if you've got any ideas, I'm open to anything you might want to score-attack.

Great idea Fenton. Perhaps there should be two threads, one for 360 and another for PS3. You could run the 360 thread and someone like davie could run the PS3 thread. Just a suggestion, don't wish to tread on anyone's toes.

For the PS3, Super Stardust would work. Not for me of course as I'm crap at it.

Great idea, though I'm not sure I get enough gaming time to put up any good scores. My motor skills are largely awful and I'm pretty dire at this kind of thing.

I bet Dubs wins every single week.

Oooh, I'd love an excuse to get Geo Wars 2 out again. Â How do I prove it's "this week's" score though? Am I right in thinking it'll show you scores from just this session, as well as your best ever?

Yeah, on the left, it'll show your last few scores.

As for PS3, I don't mind if someone wants to do a thread, or we could try extra hard to find multi platform games. We could even delve into some Flash games.

Here is the 360 thread if anyone missed it because I made it on a Friday afternoon while bored at work and it seems to have died since then and now the PS3 one is up.

Is GW2 significantly better than the original? That didn't do much for me.

It's a much better game, the same kind of thing but better executed and with more modes (you can never have enough modes). I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you didn't like the first one though.

This thread has tanked. I don't really mind, I just thought people would go for this kind of thing. I guess no one likes being told what games to play.

I'm well up for this sort of thing, I just don't own the game.

You'd probably have to do something like, fastest time on the training bit at the start of MW2 to get a lot of responses. Or fastest track time in NfS:HP etc.
