  • Dead Rising 3 pisses me off the more I see it's stupid gritty face. 

    Calling in artillery strikes and driving around in a car are not as much fun as shoving traffic cones on zombie heads and then beating them savagely with a brightly coloured dildo.

    The psycho's are likely to be fucking shit as well. No more fat lesbian mall cop taking it out on stranded models, no more weird S&M gimp pig face crotch giant chainsaw man, no more giant tigers chasing you round a casino, no more rollerblading kids mascots with flame thrower super soakers. 

    This image is everything that was great about Dead Rising 1&2 that looks like it's missing from stupid serious mexican rising 3.

    Okay I would like more of that to be sure, but I'm going off the back of the Capcom guys who were tweeting saying there definitely is silliness.
    I an hoping that the dr3 e3 trailer was for the brofist gamers and that I can still put Lego heads in dudes.

  • Chuck Greene I think made a decent replacement for Frank after some initial concerns. Although he never did reach the dizzying heights of "I've covered wars you know?"

    But god damn it if Frank West isn't just a magnificent bastard. 

    Reg, I hope the E3 trailer turns out to just be some nod towards the bros and we get some proper silliness again as DR3 is one of the main draws for me at the moment in the Boner line-up.

    Maybe, I suppose. Depends how much fan service you wanted to provide.

    Don't forget zombies have gone main main main stream since the first DR. Since the second come to that. They would have wanted to emphasise that part.

    In 2010 I was disappointed to learn it was Blue Castle not Capcom making DR2. In 2013 I'm relieved.
  • Launch moto. 70 quid is a night out in central London and a cab home. I don't see that as a deciding point. Not least as pvz2 will only be MS not ps. Peggle 2 likely the same. H5. Titanfalls. Etc etc. it's a no brainier as it also jut does everything else possible. It almost makes toast. Apparently
    There is space for a USB toaster*.

    As far as we know PvZ 2: It's About Time is iOS only, PvZ: Garden Warfare is PC, 360, One.

  • I think I was one of the few people who would happily play Dead Rising 1 & 2 without dressing like a woman or whatever. I had fun with it but most of the time I was just playing the game trying to do everything, all the cases and Psychos.

    I really liked what I saw of DR3, pushing the scale of the zombies even further, and just the huge threat of it all. The devs have repeatedly said there will still be silliness and Psychos there so I'm not worried.
    I'm falling apart to songs about hips and hearts...

    The psychos were easily the worst bit in the Dead Rising games.
  • I liked the psychos but they highlighted how piss poor and clunky the shooting dynamics and weapon select were.

    I love the characters of the psychos, but found that you'd have to resort to some near glitchy behaviour to get past them.
    It was all about those rescues. Here's hoping they out a full-on sandbox mode into the game.

    Apparently the "normal" game is all out sandbox without any time limits. Then they're a Nightmare mode (or something) that introduces time limits for missions.

    That is a good switch around imo.
    Having the 'hard' mode as the first mode was a tad odd.

    They really do need to sort out the controls though, DR made GTA seem like a dream to play at times. They never managed that balance between having controls to fend off hordes of slow moving zombies with controls to fight fast moving psychos who often had firearms.

    I noticed the character could combine weapons on the fly in the trailer, I liked that as getting to a workbench to do it became a bit annoying.
