Something called 'desktop pc' has just resurrected the 'all new Apple Macintosh and Apple iPhone and Apple iPad fred' at the nuold place which only had about 8 posts in it to post spam about iPads, despite being called desktop pc. Can't say I miss it much.

I'm currently trying to work for the next 15 minutes until I leave for the rest of the day. So I'm going to type this sentence 7 times so it looks like I'm being really busy. I have a proposal to write later today, which is going to take ages at home. On account of pausing BF3 to type with one finger

Into hospital tomorrow for the third and hopefully final operation on my nose. Following two ops I still can't breathe through my right nostril, but this procedure should fix that. Only a day case, so I should be home late afternoon or early evening. I'll have a few days to convalesce, so a great opportunity to catch up on some tv/films and games.

I'm marking game design documents and one of them is for a medieval RTS-style boardgame. They've helpfully included photos of the board which to be fair is looking quite natty (little cardboard castles and such), but the element which stood out was the avocado. Returned from hospital about 18:00 yesterday and currently feel fine. Have a nice bag of meds to keep me going through next week and I'm currently rocking a rather excellent look that includes a mass of white tape over my nose and a bolster underneath it which unfortunately makes it look like I'm sniffing a tampon.

When I came round in recovery it was bloody freezing, so one of the nurses gave me a bear hugger and after a few minutes a I was lovely and warm The nurse put her hands under the hugger to see how warm I was and she said that she was cold and therefore I asked her to join me. Oh dear, the joys of anaesthetic wearing off. After I said that I tried to keep quiet.

Doctors appointment this morning for a physical and blood tests to attempt to rule out what might be a reasonably serious but treatable condition. It's probably nothing, but that hasn't stopped me constantly worrying for the last 24 hours - particularly after making the amateurs mistake of looking up said condition on t'internet, exactly the opposite advice that I always give everyone else in this position.

There's a girl at my gym with a pornstar figure who likes wearing spray-on leggings, very tight crop tops and doing very explicit stretches for long periods, during which the males in the place try not to drop weights on themselves.
