Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

I'll put some pretty stuff in here.
Anyway, this is for MGS 5. We're not that far out from it. As celebration I'm starting operation Phantom Pain tonight - playing all 4 main MGS games, Peace Walker and Ground Zeros in prep. I'm gonna go codec out of my skull to get all dat lore.
Get hype. -
Don't bother with MGS4. Kojima will cut it off from the canon on his death bed. -
Though I've always been interested in the interpretations of MGS4 being intentionally shit. Kojima spending ridiculous amounts of money on the live action commercials that a good % of players won't even see. The terrible Drebin shop gun shop mechanics and overall leaning towards third person action rather than stealth. Supposedly he was depressed through development.

I'm actually a fan of 4. Gone in with the right mentality, it's a fucking clusterfuck of noise and mechanics. Like Resi 6 with Werner Herzog directing.

The PlayStation original is still my personal favourite, played all the Solid series apart from Portable Ops. Would probably go 1>2>3>PW>4
Thought Ground Zeros was great, definitely got me hyped for Phantom Pain.オレノナハ エラー ダ -

I hate MGS4.
One thing GZ coulda done with is a good boss. Even if only a separate mission. -
MGS really shines for me when you master manipulating the enemy grunts. I've had hours of fun on all of them just dicking around and causing mischief. Ground Demos looked like it was fully embracing that kind of play like no other MGS and the vids for MGS5 seem to back that up. The emotion-triggering tranq darts in MGS4 were just a nod by comparison.
Add the grinding for soldiers from PeaceWalker and you have a reason to replay areas other than just pissing around."..the pseudo-Left new style.." -
