I honestly think there's also a high chance of Metroid now that Retro Studios announced sod all at E3.

They probably do need to get a major dev on board from day 1, with full commitment to do games outside of the Nintendo core.
Ubisoft might have been a good choice but that relationship seems to have gone tits up.
Maybe they are cultivating DeNA? -
Disney, Warner or Activision will all have a shout. Essentially everyone with a toy game and seen that Nintendo might play nice.

I hear you but all that stuff is there on the WiiU. What's the point of a new console for basically exactly the same games? Starting from a zero install base.
They should plough on with the WiiU imo and just make some more games.
I don't want a new console yet but if they tell me the WiiU is dead well then I'll definitely get a PS4. -

3 types of Metroid with another varient on its way
Then you have smash, kart, tennis, golf, party, Olympics.
Using their pool of characters in new ways is absolutely not a problem for them. -

Yeah some new stuff would be good. But new Mario does excite a bit for some reason - probably because it'll be a "full" Mario on system launch. Makes me think of the N64 and that beaut of a game.

If I got a console today I'd get xbone.
Worst thing about new gen console exclusives is tacoma v firewatch which is really annoying.

One thing I'd be gutted if they dropped is the off TV play. Via a handheld maybe Sony-style but it needs to be retained. -
