I played enough of Star Wars and Prey to know that I didn't fancy either, so it's between Spidey and Monster Hunter for my next telly game. Ideally I'd play Spiderman at 60fps but it performed well enough on a base PS4 from what I can remember (played 90 mins but lost my save).

Nice. Every time Meat Boy is mentioned I talk about the split screen race mode on Switch, but it really is an excellent addition.

Appreciating it but I don't think its aged particularly well, and if I'm being honest it's becoming a bit of a slog.

I'm not a huge JRPG person, the only major one I've completed is Chrono Trigger which I definitely prefer to this, mainly due to the fact it was over at the 24hr mark.

How far are you in? I might join you in the FF thread if we're close as it might give me the inspiration to kick on with it.

Just started disc 2, a lot of snow where I am now. (the game will tell you when you're at the second disc). Pretty much all of my posts are spoilered, apart from mechanics.

I'm loving it, but then I do enjoy rpg's but don't play them as often, as they're a timesink and I get sucked into side stuff quite easily. I was surprised at how well I thought this one aged, I've been scared to play it as I thought it couldn't live up to the nostalgia surrounding it, but I'm really surprised.

Have to say I do have a guide to the side, to check back on an area once I'm done with it to see if there's anything more that needs my attention, mostly stealing items, learning enemy skills etc. It does keep me on track with where I need to go, in case I get lost. I rarely can play for more than an hour, so want to get the most of my time with the game. I'm wondering if they made it easier, as none of the fights so far have been hard, and I didn't do any excessive grinding.

To get a handle on my PoS, I really should prioritise.

Having had a look at the games from the 2010s that got the most love, in ranking lists and here on B&B, I think I should play/finish these in this order:

Mass Effect 2
Red Dead Redemption (first one, I got halfway before getting distracted)
Arkham City
MGSV
The Witcher III
Fire Emblem Awakening
Xenoblade Chronicles (remaster on Switch I suppose rather than go back to Wii save file)

That's a lot of hours already... if I do well, I will consider Skyrim, GTAV and RDR2 (the latter I most likely will play, maybe not the first two).

I might get started once I've done Elden Ring. So... in 3 months or so maybe!

I bagged The Witcher III for £4.99 a few months ago. Apparently when the next gen patch arrives you can upgrade for free, might be worth waiting if you own the relevant next gen console. I don't expect to like it but I'm still looking forward to trying it.

Mass Effect 2 is a good one to start with there, I only played that one as it was all I needed from the franchise. Really enjoyed it though, assembling the super space squad was great.

Yakuza Zero and Horizon Zero Dawn are just off the list, after Xenoblade.

I'm halfway through a third or fourth playthrough of Mass Effect 1 and hope to do it in bits here and there before I finish Elden Ring so I can go straight into ME2.
