I think this looks fucking ghastly, but then again, I tend to be repulsed by shooters with this sort of cutsie TF2 type aesthetic. Anyhoo, it's from Blizzard, so it'll probably be massive.

The tf2 aesthetic is the instant pickup on this but it's hiding a pure blend of FPS and Moba. They were careful in the video with not showing all the skills but the archer's twin dragon thing at the very end screams ult.
Either that or it's load out based so there's some degree of customisation, in line with HotS.
Either way I'm glad it's Blizzard handling something like this, it'd be so very easy to fuck it up, and they have pedigree for doing exactly not that (mechanically at least).
Reports from blizzcon is that it's deceptively well paced, and not at all mega twitchy. -

I'm with g on it looking ghastly as it seems to have no central design aesthetic. It's a mishmash of garish colours and different motifs. TF2 at least has central 60's NOLF like spy/merc theme (integrity weakened by hats). -

It looks close to Big Hero Six in terms of style and theme - likely coincidental.
It's definitely not a strong look, but colours and silhouettes seem unique, and as we know even Valve are happy with infinite cosmetics as long as silhouettes remain unbroken. -
I think the sheer amount of shit going onscreen in some of the gameplay vid footage will put me off.
As a beginner, these type of games can be off putting because there's just so much mess on the screen you have no idea which of your powers you need to use to make a contribution, then I get frustrated and chalk the whole thing up as a chaotic mess and never come back.Live= sgt pantyfire PSN= pantyfire -

For some reason the video gave me an idea for a shooter like this. What if all characters saw the level through a different perspective? Same layout, but different aesthetics. So the gorilla guy would see it as jungle, for the sniper it would be all high tech etc. etc. Not sure what it would bring to the game but it would be something new.
