Dan Carlin - Hardcore history.
I've just read those two again recently. Is the podcast just like an audiobook version?TheDJR wrote:Been re-listening to some of my favourite HP Podcrafts, The Colour Out of Space and The Case of Charles Dexter Ward are so good.
Sounds interesting.Tempy wrote:Someone recommended this to me: http://www.tanispodcast.com/ It's like a quasi-documentary about the mysterious city of Tanis, an elusive moving "thing" and bar some dodgy production, and a few guff bits of writing (pro tip: if you want to have a poem in your work, don't attribute it to someone like William Blake unless you're really fucking brilliant at poetry) but it still has a little something to it that has made me decide to actually listen to it.
I'd heard Scroobius Pip recommend it on his podcast so downloaded a bunch and listened to a couple. The one with the anti-cult guy was pretty interesting but was a bit too scattershot and found myself mildly disagreeing with him on a couple things, got a bit bored while listening to the 2nd. Then saw the next up was about "victimhood culture" or whatevs and that he had a 3 hour episode with Milo Yiannopoulos in the feed and thought "nah, life's too short, I'll go get more of the Kevin Smith stoner stuff".GooberTheHat wrote:Ive been listening to the Joe Rogan experience recently. A few of them are really good, then I realised the guy is a homophobic Sam Harris worshiping cunt and I felt bad for enjoying some of his stuff.
