The worst part was it was a really ancient meter with cogs and stuff. Yet the landlord was insistent that we kept it as the old guy (his father) had apparently been very proud of his little con.
So every time the electric board came round to try and replace it I had to hide behind the sofa. After about the fourth attempt I let them in. They weren't happy.
