Today we find out from the estate agent whether we can exchange on Friday and move next Thursday (I'm away from the Friday for 2 weeks working).
The lack of communication with my solicitor and the general amount of faffing it appears everyone has been doing in special. Standard too it would seem.

My mate went out to the removal guys for a joke and said to them that it was all off and they had to put it all back and they started to do that without a blink. Our money went through with about 2 minutes to go until close of business. We were sat outside the new house all day waiting... The van had to go back that night, so I have no idea what we would have done if the money didn't go through. Not completing before Friday 5th. Guess when the earliest date is.. 5th. Frustrating but it does give us a little more time. We're exchanging before I leave and completing 18th. Moving the day I'm back, 20th.

My bro moves up to near Edinburgh on the 12th, from Milton Keynes.
If that doesn't go through on the day its gonna be awkward.
However it does mean he may be escaping England the day we crash out of Europe.
The hardest part of it will be trying to stop my dad doing too much as he is having knee surgery on Tuesday.
Moving is rarely easy, it's hard work physically and stressful mentally. Just got to roll with it.
My main advice is to do several rounds of clear outs before hand, you will resent keeping junk by the end of the day. -
Aye. Throw as much as possible in the bin before moving day. Always.

Diy stuff is crazy. I had a clearout last week and found bags and bags of fixings, alan keys, screws, sealant, spare parts, paint tins, old taps, radiator valves, dead brushes going back ten years from every bit of furniture and bit of decorating.
