    WELL HELLO
  • Me!
I like to think I'm a CAN DO kind of guy...
And the number of cans I can normally do is 12.
  • I'm sure Retro would do a better job than me with tournaments but his office blocks the B&B so you'll have to suffer it without awesome spreadsheet stats and nifty fonts.

    It'sHappening though.
  • Yaaaaaaas, we are here. Pre order is set.

I'm in. I've always loved a bit of video game Golf but I've always preferred multi-player.

First Golf game I played was on the Apple II in school (82-83). It came as a demo program on a game disc. Played in top down 2D but it supported 4 players and generated new holes every game.

Leaderboard on an old PC in work, NES Golf on the Playchoice 10 in the pub I worked in, Arnold Palmer on Megadrive with mates on a hangover Sunday.

Those were the days. Enjoyed the Gamecube outing of Mario Golf but only experienced that solo - so I'll be up for this.

That wasn't this version by any chance?

Loved it back in the day, easily the best looking game on out old Amstrad (albeit in 4 colour mode)

    That's it.........

"No doubt about it, he's deep in the sandtrap". Leaderboard was the best Golf game for such a long time.

That old 3 press system really hasn't been bettered.  I hurt my back playing bloody Tiger Woods on the Wii!!

  • Heard that line a bunch as a kid!  Commentary really was witchcraft coming out of a PC speaker.

Agree RE 3 press - no other system does anything for me in a golf game.

Nah the stick swinging system of 360 era PGA was best

You have a point - however those games had for too much handholding with all that after hit spin malarky, putting aids etc. I know they were optional but it put me off those games.

  • I'm well in. Loved the comps we used to do.

That speed run is fantastic too.
  • My gaming Golf history went thus:

    Golf - NES
    Golf - GameBoy
    Various PGA Tours - MD/SNES
    Everybody's Golf - PS
    Mario Golf - N64
    Tiger Woods 04 - PS2
    Wii Sports - Wii
    Mario Golf - 3DS

Got heavily into all of them apart from the 16Bitters and Wii.

Tiger 04 and Mario on the 3DS are the ones I probably put the most time into.

Mario Golf on N64 is great - the GC version is really only the same game with extra polish - but I just found it a bit too ugly on N64.

Nintendo's Golf on Gameboy is a great little game too.

  • Borrowing PGA Tour Golf 2 was my first I think, I don't recall playing any on the Master System at the time.

Everybody's Golf 2 was a huge mp game for late teen me.

Mario Golf on 3DS was a huge sp and mp game for older me. I put maybe 100hrs in, loved the campaign, loved the online, enjoyed the DLC. It's bobbing around my top ten of all time.
  • I put so many hours into EG on PSP.
"Plus he wore shorts like a total cunt" - Bob
  • Golf on GB was my start. Standouts in my hazy memory would be Actua Golf on psx, Links 2004 on OG Xbox, EG on both PSP & PS3 but the daddy was '02-'06 Tiger Woods on PS2/Xbox (for custom soundtracks). Mario was class on the 3DS, doubt I've played any others.
  • Yeah, those Tiger Woods games were pretty damn amazing. I was tempted with that 2K Golf on Switch until the Mario announcement dropped.

The only golf game for me, this. Great memories.
  • Did anyone else play Sensible Golf on Amiga? I loved that game.
    iosGameCentre:T3hDaddy;
    XBL: MistaTeaTime
  • I used to play it at a friend's house, was a good 'un.  It's probably not fair to call it a forgotten game but I rarely see it mentioned.
  • I put so many hours into EG on PSP.

I did on the vita one but could never beat the last vs character fucker always sinking flukey shots from off the green

Forgot about Irem Skins on SNES. Nice clean arcade look to it.

Think it might have been a neogeo port.
