Game of the Year 2021 - Returnal wins

More lists, I do love 'em. Top 5's please. Feel free to post larger lists if you want to recommend certain games, but only your top 5 will earn points for the big tally up early next year. If a game was released on the platform you first played it on in 2021 you can vote for it.
No early access stuff please, give Grounded or Darkest Dungeon 2 or whatever a fighting chance to win next year. It's a bit early given that some big hitters are still on the way, but updating votes is fine, as is abstaining until 2022 or just not doing any of it.

Barely played anything that's come out this year.
A Monster's Expedition top for me too. Then Omno & Golf Club: Wasteland as only other two I've finished. Pedestrian maybe?? Might need to check trophies/cheevos... -
Psychonauts 2. Back 4 Blood. Sable (lol). 12 minutes.
FH5 and Halo to come ofc.

Hmm Hitman 3. I bought it and proceeded to just use it to play Hitman 1. Haven't tried any of the 3 missions at all lol.

Returnal is clear favourite and was always unlikely to get beat.
Deathloop is there, Road 96 (I think it's just me that really liked it), probably Metroid and then maybe Ghosts n Goblins Resurrection at the head of the rest. -

Seriously I played the shit out of that Streets of Rage DLC. It really mixed up what the game is as well. A whole new mode that I actually wasn't even interested in but has ended up making the core game redundant. -

It came out on Xbox this year, I reckon plenty of people on here played it for the first time when it hit GP.
