Had good stuff last night, won way more than lost, but just now got battered by someone with nearly 9k wins and a black belt. Feels like some of these folks have been playing non-stop since the late 90s. Is hard work.
The lesser seen matchups are prone to catching me out here, got done by a necro just there that didn't seem anything special, finding it hard to punish though. But, in general today has been good, won more than lost.
MS has deep pockets but Bethesda is arguably their prime aquisition this gen. Wouldn't surprise me if they are targeting Sega next gen.
For now I'm happy Sega is catering for pc, ps and xbox. I'm guessing Sega is a bit unsure of the popularity of VF outside of jp hence the PS exclusivity.

I like a lot of stuff in this Ultimate Showdown: high damage; no meter (Shun doesn't count!); short juggles; moveset diversity; ring- and wallouts...
And it looks so nice, like a modern Tekken 2 before Namco moved away from temples and that. Same with its music, where it avoids contemporising with themes that date.
I miss Tekken's limb system and block inputs, along with its zippier pace and flashier setups, but I'd recommend this over Tekken 7 to newcomers. Netcode's probably trash, like.
Given its not on xbox I won't be checking it out but I liked the idea of making it more accessible. Guilty gear has always been appealing but I've never been really able to find my feet with any of them.
Side note: anyone here play killer instinct on bone / series s? With the ssd the load times are tiny and this was my biggest issue with the game before. Its definitely got a certain charm.
