Was seeing Kevin Bridges tonight in Edinburgh. Â I like him enough but don't normally find him all that great tbh. Â He was brilliant tonight though and had me helpless on a few occasions.
It was the first show I've been to that had a warm up act. Â He was quite amusing. Â Thought it was a bit odd that after the warm up fella finished there was a 20 minute break which somewhat defeated the purpose of the guy in the first place. Â More a 'here to fill time because Bridges only really has an hour and a bit's worth of material here' guy.
Bridges was funny enough to make up for it but it meant the show got off to an odd, if not bad start. Â The first heckle was 2 seconds after the warm up guy came on. Â "You're not Kevin Bridges". Â It summed up the feeling in the room I felt. -

John Bishop being good would be quite suprising. Kevin Bridges is like a bucket of shite in human form, I just find the guy utterly repellent.

Watched a lot of his stuff recently. "Before He Turned The Gun On Himself" is on uk Netflix if anyone's interested. Brilliant show.
Been watching a lot of Bill Burr recently too. Whilst he's a bit old-school Italian-American "cahhhhhmmmm ahhhhhnnnn", his bordering-on-psychotic style had me snorting rather loudly. And, he was the dude Saul sent to sort out Bogdan and Benneke in BrBa, so there's that.
Running out of ones to watch on Netflix. Any suggestions? -

Did you see the last Real Time when Netanyahu went dark? Very intense ending to the show. Maher all but said bomb the mad cunts back into the stone age, in reference to Palestinians.
