The Quarry is incoming this week. It's Supermassive's first full-size follow up to Until Dawn. Expect the usual gang of young people struggling to survive thanks to something horrific.

Was looking at this for a possible multiplayer evening but I've only played the first Man of Medan episode so far. One of the sequels will be a better fit for a single session I'd imagine. Will probably pick this up at some point though, loved Until Dawn.

Might be a good place to ask - Has anyone played the second and third Dark Pictures Anthology games? If so which was better out of Little Hope or House of Ashes?

No, it's an anthology, and they're still doing more. They aren't connected.

I found little Hope to be the weakest of the bunch.

House of Ashes was simply superb and I can’t recommend it enough.

The Quarry only has couch co-op at launch, by the way. Online should be added later.

I've been meaning to try couch co-op on these things for ages, sounds great. For £60 I assume Quarry's runtime would stretch to a bit more than an evening's play though.

I don't remember it being short, 8hrs sounds about right. The Dark Pictures efforts are a bit more long film kinda length I think (the first one was anyway).

I got it, nearly finished it I think but it’s something me and the Mrs play together so takes a little longer. Very much another Until Dawn so we’re loving it. Looks incredible in places but odd in others and the story almost feels like pieces are missing from chapter to chapter, can feel a little disjointed, but would still recommend if you like the genre.

You can get it for £13 on Xbox if you're prepared to jump through a couple hoops. Might grab it later. Same dude I got Elden Ring and Dying Light 2 from, it works fine.
