UNTANGLE AN ANCIENT MYSTERY TO ESCAPE A LONG-FORGOTTEN CITY.
Lost, alone and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten city.
Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by curious droids and dangerous creatures.
See the world through the eyes of a cat and interact with the environment in playful ways. Be stealthy, nimble, silly, and sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this mysterious world.
Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B-12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.
Stray is developed by BlueTwelve Studio, a small team from the south of France mostly made up of cats and a handful of humans. -
Felt it needed its own thread. Playing now, its fucking beautiful to look at. Ultrawide support straight out the gate, 195fps.
I'm gonna love this so much. Its chill, cute. An experience, rather than a 'game'.

The simple pleasure of guiding the cat around makes for a surprisingly fun experience even if it's really just a very sophisticated point and click adventure for the most part.You rang.....

As this is only 4hrs long I might play it. I like cats but I don't really like games that are absolutely wonderful apart from the game part. Is it suitable for kids or is it incredibly scary like that Sylvester McCoy Dr. Who episode with the cats?

Started it. It is indeed a looker and very chill. Just one to relax with and enjoy. -
Looks less shit but we don’t want to admit to be wrong #bnbI like to think I'm a CAN DO kind of guy...
And the number of cans I can normally do is 12. -

I'm unusually frustrated at these guys getting cat behaviour both really well observed - first time the moggy gets the harness strapped on him and does an authentic squirmo-crawl - and completely inaccurate - cats meowing at eachother (they only meow at us!!). -
I hope someone makes a proper game outta what this one contributes to the cat-'em-up genre. A turf-defense platformer could be kind of fun.

So yep, the Skill Up review was pretty spoilerific especially in such a short game that is mainly about the discovery. His B-Roll shows far too many late game elements. Glad I didn't watch it and will avoid all his stuff until after I've played the game.
