I got the demo but have yet to play it. The fact I hadnt heard anything about it led me to believe it wasn't good but I'll check it out! Im sure my scores will be very close to yours.

Yeah its crazy, I stumbled across it by chance on release day.
I'd say that anyone that enjoyed GW2 would probably enjoy this. It has everything from GW2 and then adds 3D stages and the adventure mode. The adventure mode can get a bit tough which might put a few people off as it locks out stages until you've earned a certain amount of stars (each stage is worth up to 3 stars) from the previous stages. The boss fights have been epic so far though. -

Ooh, sorry. Played a bit of the 'adventure' mode, which is ok. I'm not too keen on that at the moment.
But it still has the classic modes. Haven't tried them. But of they're the same as before, then at the moment this game looks a bit pointless for me. But there seem to be other menu options and I haven't explored them yet.
Still. It's Geometry Wars. I bought it day one without hesitating. Classic modes on latest console is win.I am a FREE. I am not MAN. A NUMBER. -

Original Gwars had the single best game mode. No composite part of GW2 came close, although it was undeniably a more comprehensive package.

I didn't get on too well with the original/classic. The sequel pressed all sorts of my gaming buttons. Pacifism and deadline were so good. And waved was interesting.I am a FREE. I am not MAN. A NUMBER. -

I loved gw2. The mix in modes was brilliant and you still had the basic shooter in there as well. Still visually lovely as well I make no bones about the fact it was one of the reasons I got an xbox 360.SFV - reddave360 -

Going by the video this seems to have brought back certain elements from GW Galaxies that was on Wii and DS. There's the drone and the different shaped levels (though they were 2D in Galaxies). Galaxies had medals to go for instead of stars and you used the geoms to unlock worlds instead of stars. The level selection was less linear in Galaxies too but this looks good.

Just had a session of this and it's rather good. There's the new adventure mode which plays quite a bit like Galaxies except there are bosses, some new game modes, and the levels are warped into 3D which gives it a nice Tempest feel.
It's backed up with 5 of the modes from GW2 (Deadline, King, Waves, Evolved and Pacifism) so you have the convenience of having most of GW2 available if you have an XBone.
There's 2 bonus levels available from the off (have to download one - it's free) and one locked which requires me to beat one of the bosses in adventure mode. I suspect that there will be more content added as time goes on.
4 player local is supported and there's an online mode but couldn't find a game. Being on 360 and allowing for the fact this has slipped out quietly that isn't a surprise.Holding the wrong end of the stick since 2009. -

Same here, but I keep going back and it's also reignited my love for Resogun.

It will get a bit easier once you've upgraded your drones and unlocked some of the other supers. Its probably the one thing I don't like about the game as the unlocking of drones and super attacks removes an aspect of the level playing field around competing for high scores against friends.
The game is difficult though. I have 5 people of my friends list with this but only 2 have recorded a score after the second boss fight...
