Enemies take a lot of hits and the scenery often obscures them. But I've got my spear to plus two and found a shield. Think the next session will be the one that hooks me or breaks me, I've put all my stats into magic and have no spells.
I've not done any magic so struggling to remember how much stuff I've seen. Is there a magic/miracle distinction? Think there's also an npc somewhere??
Morning Muzz. The only offerings are where I cash in my salt. It's not letting me change my stats, but I fill in the skill tree in a hungry Mage kind of way. It is all rather intriguing, and when I saw you can multi squash bags of salt, that I did like. Found the QoSs boss and got rekt beyond belief last night.
So I think filing in your skill tree does change your stats (eg you choosing the will power ups), not sure you can rebalance after that.
I think one of the offerings
Spoiler:
is something mage related? Think you'll need to have the Stone Mage offering though our something. And I can't remember where I found mine
In terms of offerings, beware
Spoiler:
they are very much sanctuary specific and you don't get many of each type. So if you put your only Mage one in and out the way sanctuary that could become tedious?
Done sanctuaries start off with
Spoiler:
an offering effectively having been placed, including at least one with a Mage dude. Which boss is qos? Not sure how far off the one I'm thinking of you are.
Had no idea different sanctuaries for different stat boosts, cheers. Man does the music bother you too? The developers just love a strumming distorted guitar that I grates me so bad, while traversing the cool grimy locales. But it plays good.
Only the offerings are sanctuary specific, so that changes various boosts in the area, but not your core stats (and some have more unique differences!). The shops / guides just appear there too, and you can't get another of that type without finding another offering of that type.
Just had an idea about this apostate thing. And loads more stuff opened up for me metroidvania style, looking forward to my next sesh!
Done a boss and explored pretty much the whole next area, up to finding a second boss. Found 3 sanctuaries in total.
Was just about to say it's quite tough, but I've literally now remembered there's a roll button, which I hadn't been using at all. D'oh. That explains quite a lot.
I think I've figured out how most of it works now. Started with a hunter, and mostly doing sword and shield combat, but want to slowly move towards the miracles part of the skill tree as well.
