Any opinion on Cheaney shoes. Shop looks nice, and we are stocking them. That means half price, but it's still expensive
Cheaney are OK, but the best rangers are their Goodyear welt shoes rather than the glued sole stuff which is IMO very expensive for what you get. For 400 I would be looking for non corrected leather , quality leather that creases properly, leather built up sole with a couple of rubber patches, leather lining, etc. I'd also be reluctant to wear those out if it was going to rain.
Personally, I would save the money, get a cheaper pair and a good polishing kit, and just look after them and polish regularly.
FYI, they are owned by the Church family (of Church shoes fame) these days, after church sold themselves to Prada.
That time stamp isn't right, I posted around 5:30am. I didn't get a pair in the end. Nike Town cocked up. On Twitter they briefly announced a reservation yesterday which i missed and was apparently filled within 15 minutes of being announced. They said reservations would be held from 9am - 10am and that any pairs not picked up after that would be available to general public. Also after 10am there would be more stock for the general public. So turned up at Niketown for a 10am general public pickup and they said they'd make a mistake. The reservation was from 9am - 10pm and they have no stock at all for the general public. Fecking idiots. They said pop back tomorrow at 9am to see if any stock has arrived. Shambolic work by Nike.
Other places have sold out by 9am. I knew I should have got to FootPatrol at 8am and queued up. Anyway they will most likely get a larger release next year (hopefully as it is 30th anniversary).
Nike HyperAdapt
These shoes are the company's first self-lacing trainers available for general release. The technology has been in development for 10 years and will finally be available to buy in November.
