I'd not heard of the Naica caves in mexico, but they make a certain DkS location seem a smidge less fanciful...
Shame, that no-one is gonna go back down there anytime soon. The cavern is full of water again. The water had to be pumped out on a daily basis in order for the crazy scientists to go down there. Despite requests of scientists company in charge said it was too expensive to keep pumping the water out. 90-99% humidity and 55 degree heat. Not a pleasant experience.

I'm not really into one point lighting or source lighting, generally just do edge highlights to bring them to life from all angles. I'm just aping GW there, but it tends to be the accepted way to do things. Gonna tackle some kinda Blanche style stuff one day, found out a few weeks ago that he was born and lived in a tiny town near Nottingham called Burton Joyce, which I used to visit a lot.
