    Thanks again Verecocha, excellent Santa-ing!

And thanks to Mrs Verecocha too!

Glad you liked it Tin! You're a tough cookie to buy for but thought it'd be a great toy on the day for you and the kids!
  • Well-done Stoph's Santa!
    Can-of-sprite
  • Bagsy Moot every feckin year. Love you man. Truly.

Explained the print to my family, 3 in tears, 4 asked for copies. Lamp was cowabunga.
  • Fantastic work by all involved. Well done chaps.
Sometimes here. Sometimes Lurk. Occasionally writes a bad opinion then deletes it before posting..
  • Great gifts everyone, amazing thread.  Quietly kicking myself here for not getting involved.  I really should make the effort next year, it seems half the fun is in the stalking...

I wanted to get involved, but feared that what I'd have to offer wasn't going to be good enough. I'm looking at the gifts with envy. I'd loved to have received them, but also to have been so thoughtful. Lovely stuff. Next year, I push myself.
  • Yeah I had neither the money or the time, but would like to get involved next year... if I have the money or the time.

Aye may jump in next year, money circumstances depending.
  • There's some amazing gifts here. Well done all.
  • Lamp is win

  • I'm avoiding spoilers a bit; picking the little one up tomorrow, so Santa's visiting tomorrow night! Will open and report back on Tuesday morning.

Glad my santee is happy :)
  • My spoon is win. Got Christened today making gravy. Even the missus was touched saying "You can't actually use it!". It's my kind of gift and it's going to get a lot of abuse over the next 20 years. And every time I cook it'll be a reminder how lovely our small corner of the internet is. Top job Santa. Explaining to the in laws would traditionally require, well, explanation, but everyone agreed this was the best interent thing, and seemed less scared and genuinely touched that a stranger could send a spoon over the internet, and not a porn spoon but an actual working spoon.
  • I knew due to international postage but thanks, Shabs. Ur a legend.

No worries, glad you liked it.
  • Wow, peeps have knocked it out of the park this year.
  • Yeah, the gifts have all been fantastic this year. So glad I took part for the first time. Well done everyone and here's hoping even more people join in next year.

And well done Oli - top work, dude.

I'll be home soon, but in think I'll wait until the morning to open, but hey it's all spreading the joy out a bit further

  • Yes big thanks for Oli for organising. Tough gig and you did a bang up job.
  • What's the deal with Stoph's print? I don't know the story behind that.

    The Forza tribute for Gunn.
  • I am amazed by the gifts this year, overall. A lot of personal touches.

My Santa (Cosby) has been very generous and clearly paid attention to the details in my posting history. No pics yet, but here's a quick run down.

    1. A badger themed Xmas card
    2. A card game called 'Love Letter' - never heard of it before, but sounds intriguing.
    3. A pair of little porcelain Japanese cats - representing my 2 cats
    4. A Chris Kamara book - after an innocuous post I made about it being weird that he appeared on Have I Got News for You. Apparently I need to find out more about CK.
    5. A Nightcrawler graphic novel - I happened to mention that when I was a kid Nightcrawler was my favourite X-Man. Not read a comic in years, but am interested to see what he's up to.

And if all that wasn't already enough...

    6. Dishonored 2 - an actual new videogame, and one I was intending to get at some point.

Really bowled over by it, Cosby. Would never have expected anything like that.

    Of course, yes. Wonderful stuff.

That's a fantastic haul, Jon. Well done to Cosby. Yet another great set of gifts.

At least you didn't get weirded out like when I bought it YourfavouriteUncle that year :D
  • There was a moment of WTF when my mother opened it and showed it me over skype, especially as it was the first present she unwrapped. I was just hoping at that point that things weren't going to get too weird, but she read the back of the packet and it made some sense. I think.

Aw shucks.  Apologies about not including a light bulb.  I managed to pick up one that was half the size it needed to be and only realised as I was meticulously wrapping the robot.

Edit: I was thinking 'safety first' when wrapping that bastard up (didn't want the head to fall off in transit), but the photo of the parcel tape monstrosity single handedly ruining the decor of your festive front room was one of my favourite things about Christmas this year.  Oh how we laughed in the Moothouse, you even put it on its own stool.

Edit 2: Big thanks to Elf for sending me a high quality image of his screengrab for the print.

You're most welcome, Jon.  Love Letter was a bit of a gamble but it's much less weird when you play it. Hopefully. I figured the Kamara book would put everything else in a more positive light anyway ;)

I wasn't weirded out as such. It was rather the raised eyebrows from my wife who instantly asked if the gift was from a girl and there was some kind of hidden subtext going on.
  • And thank you very much kazoo. The print/poster will fill a gap in the living room I've been eyeing up. We'll make it a NY2016 wall now. Thanks very much.

Glad it's ok! It's by a pal of mine who designs for a film festival, so as far as I'm aware that's the only one that exists in physical form. Was mighty tempted to keep it for myself but he did me a rad Karate Kid print as a bonus pressie so we're all happy.

Howdy, Stranger!
