38 Celsius predicted for the weekend. That's gonna be fun. At least the humidity seems to drop from (a fairly high for here) 60% to 30%. Better start drinking water now. And look for a big hat.
Rain predicted for Sunday, with the low temperature of 20C. Looks like we're out of the 30C zone. Have hardly dipped below 27C in October I think, pretty crazy.
We're at 2000 acres by now, air support has been stopped because of the high winds.
Hopefully it's not getting closer, people who are living 10-15 minutes away have received evacuation orders. There's still a lot of urban area between that and here, so hopefully that halts it a little.
Still here Nick, evacuation zones got pretty close to us, but most are voluntary and seem to be cancelled slowly again. There's still a lot of fire but a change of winds is making it go away from us. We can see the helicopters and airplanes circling around the whole day, there's a big water reservoir pretty close to us.
5% contained and over 10.000 acres was the last update, from last night.
Smell of smoke today is less than yesterday as well, was hard to breathe in the morning
Was in bed with a headache for most of the day. So I had not much time for you lot.
Green dot is where we live, I assume the red area is the fire. Upper Oso Reservoir is were we see the helicopters grab some water. To the North East of the red road is still a lot of park, other side is mainly urban so not much chance of it spreading there. They're at 25% containment, that was just updated this morning.
