Gears of War on the 360 was the last time I felt there’d been a leap forward from the previous gen.
Since that gen it’s been a steady upward curve. Probably the improvements you get from the start of one gen to the end are bigger than the immediate improvements you get from one machine to the next one. The main limit on making stuff look good now is money and man power, not horse power. -
