R4 programme about humans being eaten in various countries around the world. Tigers sneaking into huts at night - they lift the thatched roofs, and dragging people out of beds.
Most likely to be eaten if you're young, male and drunk. They stalk you home from the pub. They also reveal themselves to villages who rush out to chase them away, then they sneak in around the back and take one of the kids. They'll strip your arms and legs clean but ignore the head, although the will behead you.
Just hit a dog and killed it while driving down the street. Shot out between two parked cars about a metre in front of me and I didn't have any time to react. The owners didn't have it on the lead properly and it bolted out the door. Feel pretty shit about it, but not as shit as the owners I guess. Poor doggy.
Ah, that's really sad. Glad you're ok though, and while it's a real shame someone's dog was killed, it could have been much worse. An ex of mine had the same thing happen to her, only it was a child rather than a dog that ran out into the path of her car.
Ah, I'm fine. It's the owners I really feel bad for. They were in floods of tears, cradling the poor girl as she slipped away. Sprog was with me and he unwittingly shouted "Adios woowoo (doggy)", which might have been poignant if he hadn't sounded so happy.
In May I tried to set my old man up with an internet connection at his house as he lives in a very remote location and has no smartphone and wanted to still his grandkids whilst isolating.
I ordered Vodafone broadband and all was looking well. A few weeks later they delivered the equipment and then 2 days later sent an engineer to install it all. He couldnt finish the job and said he'd come back the next day. He didn't. Three days went by and no contact was established, leaving my dad with wires running through his house and a hole drilled through the wall.
He had enough and told me to call them to cancel it all as he felt this was ridiculous. So I did.
They apologized and told me to ask him to pack it all up and they would arrange for collection of the modem.
They didn't collect it.
Several months later and both he and I have been back and forth on the phone and each time they tell us its been cancelled and no fees will be collected. Today I've received an email from a debt collection agency telling me they are collecting on behalf of Vodafone.
I'm now on the phone with Vodafone and they tell me the service is STILL connected and my dad owed £51.
I'm arguing with them that they never installed it correctly, they didn't activate it and my dad has never been able to use their service. This is beyond a joke.
Not everything is The Best or Shit. Theres many levels between that, lets just enjoy stuff.
Post photos of the shit job, the tag in any influential reviewer type people (which etc). If you tag them in the picture you have more space so write a scathing post.
