I think I once ended up paying for phone insurance without realising for car phone warehouse (who I think are part of the same company), they just included it on the monthly bill. But when the phone broke they wouldn’t honour it as the excess became more than the phone was worth to them? Something dumb like that. It was many many years ago.

Fingers crossed it works out ok - saving £15 a month (given I can go to a lower data rate on my phone with the free 20GB data I'll now get) so pretty pleased with that.
Mikemsp wrote:For anyone interested I abandoned mobiles.co.uk and went with mobilephonesdirect.co.uk, they have got the same deal (iPhone XR 100GB data) but you get the 128GB (instead of 64GB) model for £36, it’s the second option down on the plans list on this page:

Didn't see quite that deal but something similar. Got a link?Eric wrote:I went with BT from Virgin. I got an Amazon echo, a £100 preloaded MasterCard ( both from BT) and did the deal through topcashback and got £130 through that.
The router has miles better coverage than my previous Virgin Superhub but my speed is well down averaging 70mb from Virgins 200+
Deffo check the cashback sites Muzzy before you choose.
