  • The PoP/3rd person adventure prequel to remnant from the ashes is out. (chronos: something about ashes.)

$40ish aus on steam. Bit rich for me right now, but I'll defo dabble soon unless reviews stink the place out.
I'm still great and you still love it.

  • Did that space ship game that crowd sourced loads of money ever come out?
  • Not yet.

  • Star Citizen? Lol no.
  • Star Citizen?
Nope and it is quite the thing. They have resorted to selling one off unique ships for thousands of dollars to whales.

Worth looking up, there are a fair few youtube videos on the game so select your nerd of choice.
  • That seems mad. I'm surprised nobody ever talks about it

Some correlation with stand-up wipers I'm guessing.
  • Let’s start calling them inverted wipers and see if it changes attitudes.

Star Citizen will never properly be out. They may put out something they CALL the game but the amount of feature creep that's happened, it will never live up to the promise.
Not a backer personally, but I have followed things on and off for a while.

Microsoft have just acquired smash.gg which I can’t say I’ve ever heard of, but which suggests a bigger interest in e-sportsing.

    What’s Multiplay?
  • Multiplay is a server hosting service, whereas smash.gg is a tournament organising site for esports communities.

I watch far too much esports.

I got a review copy and I am enjoying it from the first couple of hours. It’s very similar in feeling to Rime in that it has puzzles, but it has light Souls style combat. Most interesting thing so far is that your estus style health things don’t refill after resting, but your health refills on levelling up (which happens mid combat etc)

When you die, they refill, but you also ages year each death? You start off at 18. At 20 and evey 20
years, you gain a choice of permanent traits - these have a chance to change as you age, and apparently you stoo being able to level strength and agility as you age, but your arcane stat gets easier to level? An interesting wrinkle for sure, and the puzzles have been fun so far.
  • Cool. When the price is right.
I'm still great and you still love it.
  • This is interesting. Facebook have just launched a game called Rival Peak. It’s something new. Sort of an AI-driven interactive TV show. Kind of. It’s made by ex-Telltale Games people.

Basically there’s a persistent game world lasting for 12 weeks and a bunch of AI-driven characters. You watch them interact, and can influence their actions by voting for preset options. At the end of each week a character is voted off, like a reality TV show.

You should be able to click through the paywall and read that for free, but I’ll copy/paste here in spoiler tags just in case.
    Spoiler:

It’s already live, you can go ‘play’ it here:

  • That looks like like a thinly veiled attempt by Facebook to more accurately profile how their users think.
