Look just give this lad the job and be done with it:
Spoiler:
Mind you, it'll still be shit regardless as long as Gatiss and co are involved in the script.
Capaldi should've been an absolute tour de force for British sci-fi that would've catapulted Dr Who back to where it belongs. But he was crippled by fuck awful writing.
It wasn't until I hit my thirties that I realised you could unlock rewards by exploring the map
Not that I really watch it anymore, asides from the odd episode, but putting Kris Marshall (a man primarily known for his stellar performance in a series of adverts) in would kill any and all interest I have in it. I imagine a lot of actual fans would feel the same way.
A one minute Google search suggests that Neil Gaiman made it canon. Fair enough.
The Master has been a woman for the last two series, so it's pretty established.
Anyway, Whittaker's been good in everything I've seen her in. (Which admittedly isn't much - Black Mirror, Attack the Block, and especially Adult Life Skills.) Apparently she's great in Broadchurch (which has the same show runner as the next series of Who) but I never actually watched it.
