I'll try that then. Quite annoying that they didn't ask when subscribing if I wanted to start at the new (#312) or at the current (#311) issue. Now I'll have both of them to read before getting the third in about a month time. Choose the 3 month option, not sure yet if it'll continue automatically or if I have to renew.hylian_elf wrote:@Nina: yeah got it late morning. Usually a delay I think. Sometimes have to log out and then back in.

I'm sure 2 was cancelled for good reason, I'm sure Nintendo was right that it's pushed the aging HW to much and paled badly against the Saturn/PS.
Zero was poor because of the controls, I still think there's a place for Star Fox, but not at a £50 retail release.

But they couldn't keep it up and everyone else caught up and overtook them. The GC and Wii games refine some of the principles but don't really advance any further technically. And by the mid 2000s it was all starting to look a bit creaky.

Dunno about Mario Odyssey, but I can't see how that would have changed things so radically, and I was already burnt out on Mario platforming by Galaxy 2 (it was well made but I just couldn't be arsed to play it anymore).

As for the issue itself, thought it was a poor effort in the main. Still feels like too much filler. There are columns in there that I have never read. They just look so unappealing.
Assume I'm in the minority but those am my views.
