Yep. The way you have to commit to Blighttown and then find another way out of it (which can also be an alternative way in), or optional journeys like an early run into the Catacombs if you want to create certain builds, are lost in the later games.Wookienopants wrote:so far I am not getting why it’s regarded as so much better than DS3With Dark Souls 3 just having the fast travel ability sort of robbed the game of having a big cohesive feeling to the world, I can close my eyes right now and walk the whole way from Firelink Shrine to the top of the bell tower and then back down to the base of blight town in my mind and see how it all connects, the world in the first DS just felt so real because you had to learn how it all fit together.
