Yeah.Well. Bought a bottle of the cheap variant - Clubman because it was £16 in Sainsbury's.
It actually has a nice nose - madeira cake and toffee. But it doesn't follow up on it when you drink it. Didn't really taste of anything and a splash of water was no help.
The sort of thing I'll give someone if they ask for whiskey and ginger.

No, but I think it’s inevitable when you pull on a lot of similar influences. The core of it is a nod to heavy industry. Clydebuilt and all that. It’s the first distillery within the city itself for hundreds of years (a couple more have sprung up already, and even launched drinks first, but this whisky took time) so it needed to feel ‘Glaswegian’.
