Excited about the possibility of meeting some of you fine chaps!
I'm currently about to board a flight to Edinburgh to spend a few days with Elmlea and in a few weeks sharing a house with cocha! Badgers on tour!
Not everything is The Best or Shit. Theres many levels between that, lets just enjoy stuff.
Righto, apologies for lack of clarification on my end but had some other shit to deal with post holiday.
Good to see a few new faces will be in attendance this time though. To confirm the plan - meet at the Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden from 4pm on Saturday. I can be there a bit earlier if anyone's kicking about at a loose end.
We'll wait for everyone to arrive before searching out food, potentially at Meat Market in Covent Garden.
Yoss, would you be so kind as to give us a final title update?
On the offchance the weather takes a turn for the worse, here's a indoor alternative meeting place nearby. We can confirm if any changes to the venue on the day.
The Ink Fountain(or is it The Fountain and Ink?) is just behind the south bank and they have a seriously massive beer menu and awesome pizzas. It gets mad recommendation from me.
I can't make it cos tomorrow is a work night out and it's going to be a boujy one, so will be broke for the rest of the month probably lol.
"Let me tell you, when yung Rouj had his Senna and Mansell Scalextric, Frank was the goddamn Professor X of F1."
Ink and fountain and homeslice (Covent Garden pizza by the slice) have interesting pizza menus. If a tad pricey.
Don't go out drinking in London much, is £5 a pint the norm? Understudy and Ink and fountain prices suggest it maybe.
For a future badger meet we should try one of the pubs on Charlotte St, just off Goode St station. It always seems busy down there and they have some nice foodplaces. Icco Italian pizzas are yummy and cheap. Pide (the Turkish place) does nice street food.
£5 per pint is certainly not outside the bounds of normality.
Having paid up to €9.50 a pint in Amsterdam £5 seems like a bargain. A lot of pubs in Brum, especially with your craft ales n such are around a fiver now.
