This season is the most interesting book IMO a chance for him to get the characters and storylines going that he wanted after changing his mind on the series direction in book 3. Pity he seems to slow it right down again in book 5!

But then books 4 & 5 were meant to be one book and he was advised by his editors to split it. I guess number 6 in another 4 years will pick up the pace again.

I enjoy them, not a avid fan by any means but I just hope we aren't being lead down the garden path and Martin can actually pull off a memorable series.

Book five happens in the same time frame as book four, I think so anyway, the way the books are packaged is one of the most confusing things about the series. The TV people will fix all that, cut internal monologues and the visuals could help with the travelling.

I thought they'd added a couple of interactions and one complete plot I couldn't recall from book 4. IGN's obsession for comparing the show and the books has confirmed it.

bah I liked this episode!!! I know a lot of you find it boring etc but compared to the rest of tv fare its Shakespeare IMO.
I was hoping that little shit would have gotten a FAR worse death than that.

Nothing interesting. A couple of times when I worked as a security guard, once at a party, once in a pub, I've been stuck with people that were pissed and on coke and maybe someone to worry about.

I thought the end fitting. His attempts at humiliation ended up with him dying a weak death for a king. Dying to the blade would be too honourable.

Gotta agree about spoilering the book shite. Watched this show from the start and despite some slower episodes, which for me is still good as most of the cast are excellent, I can't think of a single thing wrong with it.

I started to read the first book after season one and thought it was ok, not particularly well written, and decided to just watch the show.

And yes, I agree that the little fucker got off too easy!
