52 hour round trip to the Isle of Wight via my grandparents place done.
Absolutely shattered. The wedding was brilliant, I've lost my voice from laughing and shooting the shit.
The Isle of Wight really is a lovely place, I need to get over there again sometime with a bit more time to do stuff.
I think so, obviously a bit further away for yourself but it is nice, a bit of a timewarp to old seaside towns. I think with it being an island it feels like escaping more than places on the main land.
Well that's the rig in at Dundee for the Celtic match on Boxing Day.
On site early doors at Dens Park today to blitz everything by lunchtime.
Staying up in Dundee to escape Christmas this year. Booked into a nice hotel for a couple of nights.
Just been at Tesco on the Kingsway to stock up with booze. It's carnage in there!
Looking forward to some peace and quiet now.
Anyhoo, it's Christmas in Tv Land...
So many people work through the holiday for the rest of us.
Yes - we hear about the nurses, doctors, firemen etc. but there's those whose jobs we don't really think about. OK they aren't as critical but what they do make life just that bit better.
Great night on the dark rum with a couple of colleagues in Dundee tonight.
City centre spookily quiet, but I guess now it's Sunday everyone has burned themselves out the last couple of nights.
Decent enough steak in Wetherspoons...
Apex hotel is killing it with the Xmas themes complimentary seasonal themed rubber duck in the bathroom tho...
Cheers fellas! Holed up in bed with a plate of sandwiches and a bottle of rum, dozing and watching cheesy Christmas movies.
Might get out of bed later.
Still, should be kinda fun I hope, though pretty busy with work. Hoping to book up with a mate I've not seen for ages while in there, which should be good even if the rest sucks!
