Company in the house this evening. I predict some single malt hi-jinks. A buddy bought me a bottle of Bushmills "Steamship Sherry Cask" which will get a try.
Stumbled into The Craft Beer Co pub opposite Shaftesbury Theatre last night after dinner. They must have had about 30 or more different beers on tap. Definitely somewhere I would recommend for a badger stock.
Brewed up a bowl of sangria yesterday that's been steeping ready for tonight. Bottle of Merlot, 350 ml of white rum, topped up with lemonade, orange juice, strawbs, pineapple and oranges. Boosh.

Ooh, apart from the pineapple, that hasn't worked at all. Has a weird taste when you bite down, like you're sucking an old dishcloth, avoid.

I'm now severely limited as to what I can drink, due to being a gouty bastard. No beer, no red wine. Drinking white and the occasional whisky - but I might have to expand my tastes to other alcohol.
Got a bottle on Túnel while we were away and we completely forgot about it. Just dug it out and had a glass. I love aniseed, one of my favourite drinks is a good quality sambuca. This stuff is lovely too, really smooth. Perfect summer drink. Could quite happily fill a pint with ice and sink the whole bottle right now.
Not one for the connoisseurs perhaps, but if you're looking for extremely drinkable cheap BBQ lager, Aldi's Brasserie stubby bottle beers are the best any of the cheap supermarkets have stocked for years. £3.25 for ten, 4% vol. Get on it, summer folk. Not since Finkbrau in the early days of Lidl has such crisp pikey niceness been so readily available. [7].
