It's £12 . I'm hopelessly addicted already, and all I have is a mangy little turnip patch. It's just what I need at the moment while my net is fucked and to wind down after work in prep for Christmas.
I hope it keeps it up for you! I can't remember what triggers it but there is a quest line type thing in the ruined house that you ought to get start before the first Season ends so you can make some leeway into preparing for it over winter.
A bastard crow nicked my only coffee plant, and I somehow managed to spend all my money on copper ore then either bin it or sold it back for a fraction of the cost. Other than those two epic fails, it was grand. Got to bed at half one last night, the time just raced by as I pottered about.
I quite fancy the blue haired barmaid, I hope the carpet matches the curtains.
Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon. It's a nice chilled game, I'm not biting off more than I can chew with the farming at the minute, just taking it easy.
I did get a top end

that makes light work of the enemies in the mine, so I'll soon have a set of copper tools. Just waiting for a rainy day before I can have CLINT upgrade my watering can.
So I can't actually progress on this due to a known bug on the console versions. Every time I save it crashes and I lose all progress. It's like groundhog day. I've tried to re install and started a new save. Day 4.....crash again.
What with this and my broadband still not sorted I think I'm done with videogames this year. I'll stick with boardgames until the new year when my toys are back in my pram, at least they're reliable.
So having delved back I to this I'm now hopelessly addicted. Clocked about 30 hours this week!
Haven't made much friendship progress aside from Emily who I decided to focus on. I've figured out what time she starts work in the pub and now wait outside like a creepy stalker to give her the gems I've been digging up in the mine.
My farm is coming along ok, got a decent sprinkler setup, chickens and cows. My house is more like a factory filled with preserving tubs, mayonnaise and cheese machines. Need a shed really but that can wait.
Just about to turn winter so I'm going to focus on mining gold and coal to get a load of better sprinklers and more preserving tubs to process all the fruit and veg I've saved in the fridge.
Yeah winter of the first year is kinda where I stopped playing, although I was still enjoying it. I went back recently and scraped through to spring but then got distracted. Switch version will probably get some love from me.
That's half the community bundles complete, and the rewards are game changing. I'm only a few fish off completing another, and one of the bundles unlocked
Spoiler:
the bus travel which means I can go to the desert. I suspect the fish are there maybe.
What a game. I also got to the bottom of the mine and received an item that I have absolutely no idea what is for.
I continue to stalk Emily and have had a few cutscenes now for her. On 7 hearts, it's getting serious. I've found out that Clint the Blacksmith is obsessed with her, so there may be trouble ahead.
About a week left until Spring so need to start turning all this ore into bars now and make some more upgraded sprinklers for the upcoming season.
Regarding the comparisons to Animal Crossing, does this game punish you for long gaps between play, like AC does, or do you just pick up where you left off? The only thing that annoys me about AC is the real-time clock, where my beautifully coordinated flower patch dies because I dared play something else for a while.
Ah this game. Played all day yesterday. It just keeps on surprising me. There are just so many things happening. It doesn't seem to matter what you do, it's all worth doing. I initially thought it was quite small and compact - it's anything but.
