Well, Tearaway and Steve Lamaq. He still do the 6 music evening show? I should tune in.
Anyway, here's the embed of the trailer, where I first heard Shut Eye.
Stealing Sheep are a female Liverpudlian, psychfolk, electro-pop trio, whatever that means, with some nice three part harmonies, and sometimes a bindi.
Here are some other noises they have made:
Stealing Sheep - Apparition
Stealing Sheep - Genevieve
Stealing Sheep - Deadlock
Yes this is secretly a stealth Stealing sheep thread.
Ben Prunty did the music for FTL and Distasterpeace similarly for Fez. Disasterpeace went on to score some movies I think. Both guys are well worth a listen. I play Jesper Kyd now quite a bit thanks to Assassins Creed.
I also got into quiet a bit of electronic/ambient music thanks to Mass Effect.
Oh and the ambient spacey music on the Journey radio station in GTA. I think it was GTAIV. It had stuff like Tangerine Dream,Philip Glass and all that. Excellent stuff.
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1-4 and Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX shaped my teenage years in so many ways, including the bands I got into. Millencolin, Alkaline Trio, Goldfinger, Fenix TX, etc etc.
Also got into Tom Petty after Runnin' Down A Dream was on GTA San An. I'll always remember that.
Criminally, I would never of heard of the Ink Spots if it wasn't for Fallout. Best use of actual real music outside the GTA franchise.
@kneecap A mate of mine is obssessed with Stealing Sheep so I get dragged to a lot of their gigs. I preferred Emily Lansey (lead guitarist) when it was just her and the Faves. She did some wonderful. stuff back then. Had no idea that a 'Sheep track had been used in a game though.
Primus, in Tony Hawks Pro Skater. Went deep with them afterwards, still enjoy the odd Claypool side project/solo effort. Duo de Twang's Four Foot Shack was one of my favourite albums from a couple of years ago, and I still regularly listen to Cheese & Frizzle Fry.
Jerry was a Racecar Driver from Sailing the Seas of Cheese was the THPS one, but here's something else:
He did the music to a Wii game too, Mushroom Men or something.
Had a great night pof music at GameCity a few years back, firstly some english composer dude had a big band/tiny orchestra in a chapel and played live renditions of stuff he'd done for games (forget which ones, but it was a big deal game (series?) a few years back) then we had the composer from Limbo do a composers commentary whilst watching the game
