Skerret's posting is ok to trip balls to and read just to experience the ambience but don't expect any content. "I'm jealous of sucking major dick!"~ Kernowgaz
It was a good day. The shoes were brown 'scape, you've inferred that I am a sensible man when I am not.
We had a good meal afterwards, at a place called the Ox and Finch. It does small plates of fancy food, and ended up being really good and surprisingly filling, even though they flung the plates at us in a continuous non-stop stream (which they did warn us about). Had Toasted sourdough with pureed beetroot and creamy feta cheese, seared trout, smoked haddock pate, crab, haddock and chilli fish cakes, chicken liver parfait (yuck) italian sausage with gnocchi and butternut squash puree (divine) lamb beck on sweetened couscous, confit duck leg with minted greens, truffle oil chips with garlic alioli, all finished off with an afogota with a shot of amaretto. Finished up the night drinking in the Kelvingrove Cafe. Night was pretty good, only came close to going south when I was talking to my mum about Glastonbury and my Grandmother decided that CORBYN DIDN'T NEED TO BE THERE, which took us on the path of politics which was a rocky 30 minutes.
It was thoroughly my choice, although I did present them with a few options, and on balance it was the cheapest and most appealing of the few which I found odd considering its reputation. Between the 7 of us, it came to £195 before tips. We didn't drink much, but I thought for the quality of the food that was more than reasonable. Taking the father to Paesanos in the West End today, then Stravaign for tea tonight. As G.man would say: *burp*
