So this is good, then? Have been looking for something like this. Aven Colony is out soon so I don't know if I would prefer this or the sci-fi setting of the former. Is this easy to control on the 'bone?
There's a couple of quibbles.
Switching things on the Y button axis menus is a bit funky for me. Bus lines are hell if you go the wrong way (this may be something I'm missing or a overall game issue).
BUT, I'd absolutely say none of that is remotely close to game breaking. The missus and I have hammered it for a week or so and we're only probably half way to smashing our city to full size.
Hey it's Mrs face. Can you connect cargo harbour to cargo rail so stuff coming in and out by ship can be distributed by rail or does rail need outside link to bring stuff in and out independently of ships? Read somewhere you can link harbour to rail, but AI won't drop cargo from harbour to rail and can't link rail lines directly into harbour.
Yar, it's called a cargo hub, not sure what population size it drops at. Playing on pc but I don't think it's from any expansion so should be on xbox too.
Yeah, especially if you ditch buses, you want paths everywhere. You need to be careful especially at roundabouts that you have walkways over or you disconnect pedestrians.
Road tunnels don't seem to be that popular apart from motorways and that's a big job. Railway tunnel connecting the outside railway to the main industrial area is a must. Be aware of cutting off subway access though.
Hey, Mrs face again. So we cracked the cargo hub, but no trains... I really want them to fix the traffic fiasco caused by face's crazy roads. Please save our marriage.
I'm sure that cargo and passenger trains run on the same tracks in my game.
Has the cargo hub just opened, it can take a little while before lorries find their way there. I'd check that the track is properly connected to the outside line as well. I'm not certain both ends of the cargo hub need to be connected, but I do it anyway.
That's no fun, time to bulldoze all your emergency services.
I need to jump back on this I haven't touched it since the patch. My city was doing well, it's a shame to restart but I guess that's half the fun. I might see if I get a few hours to get back into it this weekend.
