Thanks Moot. Yup, slugs and snails. It's not something we'd heard of before as we moved to Wales a couple of years ago and it's not that common in Scotland. A bit worryingly it took a third visit to the vet until one of them suggested testing for lungworm. As South Wales is a high risk area it seems like it should have been the first suggestion. It's very easy to catch. Even a slug that's crawled over a toy is enough.Moot_Geeza wrote:Good luck Rita. Bramble loves a slug, he doesn't even salt it. Along with snails they're usually the culprits with lungworm I believe. She's gorgeous, love that face.
Liveinadive wrote:Good stuff. @Moot How often do you do worming? My vet said either monthly or quarterly is fine depending on the dog. Clay doesn't eat other dog's shit (thankfully) so I switched to quarterly but now I am thinking I should maybe go back to monthly. He is on Milbemax but I believe it is very similar to Advocate, just taken orally.
