I joined the blurum as I was an Edge subscriber and wanted to get tips for Skyrim. Left for a while but came back just in time for the exodus to this wonderful place. Been far more active since.

Hey Yoss. Yes I was very, very, very occasional poster. Â Held the same beliefs as Cosby & forum addiction goes to crazy levels once you start slapping words down.
The fact you remembered brings a river of tears....
If I can recall correctly, I tried to join the really, really old Edge forum back in 1999/2000... It had a blue banner (I think), and the community was...
Different...
Am I remembering that correctly? I only made one post there, and back then, I had very limited net access.
As for why I joined... Well...Â
I suppose it's because I enjoy videogames alot...
Â
I still do, but I have very little time for them at the moment, unfortunately. I've always been keen on learning more about them though, and Edge catered for that... So I joined the redrum' in 2005, while I was between jobs losing my mind to Pro Evo 5... I thought that game was a brick of shite, so I was keen to bitch about it, but my mates were too busy swallowing Konami's load(ing screen) to notice just how shit it was.
After awhile, I came to appreciate some of you* as a community of brilliant badgers (and bears. Badgers mostly) intent on maintaining an inexplicable deference towards the likes of Geoff Goldblum, David Hasselhoff and Shigero Miyamoto...
If I hadn't found this board, I'd have picked up a skag habit or, heavens forbid, would have found a job in the games industry...
