But seriously, the old are far too short/near sighted to see and click on those ads. The tabloids have them covered. My guess is these ads are aimed at the young; the undecided (swing?) voters. Those are far more likely to be on their phone and on social media.

Just had our ‘DON’T PANIC, no deal is coming’ government letter at work (the NHS version). The fairest way of doing this would be to say that if you voted for this, you go to the back of the fucking queue for medicines, food and everything else. Doesn’t say that though.
I voted Remain and still believe it was right to - but really - I'm more pissed off with our so-called leaders than those who voted to leave. I'd like to think that those who voted leave rationally are equally as appalled at the mess as those that didn't.
The fact is that the only thing to be pissed off at the leaders about is a lack of honesty. The EU always held all of the cards in the negotiation and we were never going to get this amazing deal we were told we could get, it was always fantasy. This shite is the best we could have hoped for without agreeing to free movement, and this has been the case from day one, unfortunately no fucker was willing to stand up and say that.
It was a wretched, nasty little campaign that showed our politicians at their worst. And gave oxygen to a rather unpleasant , if small, portion of the population.
The truth is of course it was far too complex to know what leaving (or staying) meant but no-one even tried to communicate it with any accuracy, competency or clarity with respect to their point of view. A democracy only works when the electorate is informed.
Consequently it's the total absence of a plan should the leave vote had won that is a disgrace. The absence of any discernable energy put into what to do after the result is also a disgrace.
And the hat trick is completed by the total absence of any competent government or alternative since the result.
Our idiot PM then made it worse with an election that empowered the worst of our (I mean N.Ireland's) MPs to further complicate an already nightmarish scenario. The time for a GE was when the deal/plan was formulated and communicated.
If only Corbyn had expended a fraction of his energy campaigning for Remain instead of energising a protest vote at the GE we might not be in this mess.
It was actually a tactic of the leave campaign not to provide a plan, they knew that committing to any specific plan would put some voters off and wanted to keep as broad a base of support as possible.
As far as winning referendums go, no plan was a solid plan.
That's fair enough - but to go into a referendum without even an outline plan to deal with one of the outcomes is ridiculous. Even just planning resources to tackle it or have a think-tank working on scenarios in secret.
Cameron could have had a team ready to go day 1 - at least have the brains lined up to tackle it instead of running away and leaving the party in a mess. He could have hung around a bit longer and left when the time was right. That would have made him appear democratic and he could have left with at least a shred of respect.
Asking a question and not wanting to hear one of the possible answers is lunacy.
So is everyone prepared for no deal, a border in Ireland, and renewed violence in Northern Ireland?
The Tories should never get in power again for this, but because British politics is so fucked up, they'll probably get elected easily with Boris as PM.
It will be quite a sight to see a border being implemented, if such a thing is practical, and the violent reaction to it. Which I don't think will be restricted to NI.
The inexcusable lack of leadership everywhere makes me sick to my gut.
Westminster is a house of fools. An incompetent government and an ineffectual opposition.
Stormont lies empty. Recent evidence given in a current investigation about a ballsed up renewable heating scheme with no budgetary cap - revealing highly suspicious activity by those in power - means that's probably a good thing as it's a swamp that needs drained. The stench of arrogance about it is breathtaking.
But you know what? The same fuckers will be voted back into both houses. A population really does deserve the politicians it gets.
Brexit was a rich boy's dream project for the removal of provisions against greed and damaging practices that has somehow come to fruition. Many of its features are already showing anyhow with zero hours contracts and erosion of health and social care. But this will open the floodgates. It's a fucking nightmare.
Just let May explore the (perilous) options of Brexit and then let the public decide on how to go forward with a new referendum. Yes, the nationalist Brexiteers will scream 'traitor' to the sacred cause but fuck 'em: the public has a right to a definite say on the course of the country for the next 20 or so years.
Probably won't happen as the political leaders are paralysed with fear of upsetting the brainwashed Murdoch readership base. To them Brexit is the cure all for a critically ill nation and whatever the consequences, the cure must be administered.
