Given this is smack bang in the middle of the Venn diagram of the two best superhero games that there’s ever been (Spider-man 2 and one of the Arkhams) there’s a lot it’s got to get right to, ahem, stick the landing.
Web-swinging has to be as good as the best implementation there’s ever been and hopefully better because that was a decade and a half ago. Combat has got to be as good as a series of games that pretty much shaped all major third-person combat since they came out. To please me and Bob side quests have to be abundant, relatively mundane and also non-existent.
I’m not expecting it to play all that well. Mainly because what’s being attempted is pretty hard and to get it right, the devs will need to be seriously good. If it’s a [7] but manages to capture the odd bit of pure Spidey like 2 did frequently, I’ll be content.
