Wellington and Winslow the brown bears.
Well done for adopting Wellington and Winslow. You wont' have time to 'paws' for thought now that you have adopted our lively twin Eurasian Brown Bears. Even though they are no longer cubs, the inseperable sisters still love to play together. They love their pond, often playing in it when the weather is nice. They have even been known to skate on it when it's frozen.
A day in the life of Wellington and Winslow
Wellington and Winslow, along with ZSL Whipsnade Zoo's other Eurasian brown bears, like to be left alone as much as possible. Their keepers visit in the morning to check them over and walk along their fence to make sure that is also ok.
The bears aren't really fazed by the keepers. Their relationship is one of cupboard love - they see the vehicle the keepers drive around in and they know its food time!
They generally enjoy chilling out and sleeping, so if you come and visit them be patient as they might be hiding in the bushes.Â
No wonder they're hiding in the bushes.adkm1979 wrote:Wait, they're GIRLS?! Â But they've got BOYS' NAMES.
