I'm playing on PC with Bone controller, and it's mint.
I'd imagine it's gonna run impeccably on everything, and the controls are well done enough that any controller will do the job.
Don't know how it hasn't come across my steam suggestions earlier.
Published by Raw Fury, and the more I look at what they put out, the more I like them. And lo, they're in sweden, so maybe I'll visit them next week and say well done.
Dandara is pure Metriodvania in structure, with save points and systems souls style, difficulty/challenge versus tools of the job impeccable so far.
It's a bit of a confusing maze straight away because of the no gravity world, and the camera swinging becomes disorientating, but it's just the right side of clever and workable once you have a map.
Have just knocked off first major boss and it was a good battle. lots of Neat ideas, looked great and felt fair. Still took a few goes, but nothing controller smashing. Have just opened out into the game proper and the challenge is ramping up.
So far, highly recommended.
As for Raw Fury, you all know I love Kingdoms. And looking at their site and what I've added to my steam list, Bad North looks cool, Gonner is already in my collection and is a roguelite so I'll check it, Sable is already on indie radars, and there's a number of others I defintely want to keep an eye on having looked.
I looked at Dandara and Bad North a few times, they may even still be on my Switch watchlist. I looked at GoNNER quite a lot as well, but decided it’s not for me.
You’ve already played that Kingdom game, haven’t you Face? Seem to recall you writing about it in glowing terms, too.
Mosaic, Sable, and The Last Night are all visually interesting to me, but I’d need to watch some gameplay footage.
I've watched the trailer a few times but never bit the bullet. I think it received a lick of paint of some description recently, it popped up on the news feed.
@andy yep re Kingdom. Have a thread and all. It's definitely got some flaws and failing can happen slowly without you realising, but I love it.
Haven't hammered two thrones as much as previous versions, but slay the spire and the fact it's a very polished re-iteration of previous games probably accounts for that.
So I'll spoiler this, but here's a youtube clip of what I'm stuck on. I was stuck because it's not clear what to do, and now I know what to do it's still rather a chore.
