There's a piano at Lewisham station which commuters can play on their travels. It's often a source of fun/amusement, but today's passionate-yet-crap My Heart Will Go On performance is my new favourite. He's using lots of fingers and there's all sorts going on, but it's pretty bad. Lovely stuff.
Spending 3 hours this morning ringing around car dealers multiple times, trying to buy a new car, and ending up with just under a 20% discount on the What Car target price.
Global launch of a 2yr project today, went brilliantly; everyone loves it. Super proud of the achievement, the team, everything. Almost cried earlier, no lie. Having a beer now, and off on holiday for the next week.
Why a reason to be cheerful you may ask? It's the first time in 3 years that our summer holiday hasn't involved either me or the wife getting an illness or I injury that ruined the whole thing. And I think the first when no one has walked out in work while I've been on summer holidays as well.
I'm so sunburnt. No-one gives a fuck on the Isle of Sheppey so I've had the dadbod out all weekend as I waltzed around in my swimming shorts among the local tattooed kebablegs and leathery Benidorm scooternans. Managed to bag myself a Black Rebel Motorcycle Club album and Mike Read's Pop Quiz for £1 at a boot sale too.
Also found out my father in law's been giving himself fillings with Milliput, shortly after watching him ride my daughter's bike backwards while sitting on the handlebars (he's 75).
I had that boardgame when I was a kid. It was a shit thing with those questions with no answers - name three songs with green in the title etc. Cue much arguing as there was no internet and like fuck there's a song called Green Weekend.
