I quite enjoyed that. Not that much, but it does make you feel good about things.jdanielp wrote:Jeff, Who Lives at Home is still in number 1 spot for 2012
Yeah, I'm with you. The whole storyline was completely stupid and it mostly just plodded along. I'm not sure how a film can spend so much time with its characters and still fail to make any of them interesting. And, yes, I did like the one before.vicinity_of_pie wrote:No one else thought Batman was terrible? I can't even remember much, must have blocked it out but there was nothing special about it and it bored me to tears. Should add that I enjoyed the first two.
It's a bit of an 'if you build it they will come' thing that. I doubt I'd have said much about it other than 'it's a bit shit' had the thread not been there. Since it is you feel attracted to going into detail as to why. But, regardless, I hadn't read anything about it before watching it and at the time found it to be a poorly made, unenjoyable film.regmcfly wrote:There's a difference between chatting about a film and some of the stuff that has gone on in the Prometheus thread though.

I didn't bother with the Batman thread because it had already sunk.
He composes a nice shot, but his action sequences manage to look expensive and terrible at the same time. All those cop extras charging the criminals was horrible.Mod74 wrote:I watched Batman last night and whilst it wasn't terrible it just seemed so amateur. Nolan (or his DP) can frame a gorgeous looking shot when he wants to but so many other parts could have been so much better with just a little bit of extra care. It felt rushed and slap dash and drowning in fan service. That said, I did enjoy it more than the first two but that's not saying much. What's happened to Matthew Modine's face?
