Norwegians use the word “Texas” to describe something that is wild or out-of-control. (“Last night’s party was completely Texas.”)
The ants of the tropical rainforest have a fierce reputation among other insects, and many predators won’t attack them. Some varieties of jumping spiders take advantage of this reputation by mimicking ants. The spiders raise two legs above their head to resemble antennae and walk on six legs.
In 1916 Coca-Cola adopted the bottle shape it still uses, more or less, to this day. It was inspired by a drawing of a cocoa bean gourd, which has an elongated ribbed body. While Coke has used the coca leaf and kola nut as ingredients, it has never used cocoa beans.
