I've had this on in the background for a bit. Completely fucking mental.
Entire thing, including vocals, now seems to be mimed, which is disappointing.

As far as I know, singback has been Eurovision SOP for a good long while now. What's changed recently is the increase in use of real-time vocal processing, (compressors and double tracking, for instance) which can contribute quite a lot to vocals sounding pre-taped when they're actually not.
I haven't watched too many of tonight's entries, but the Norwegian one wasn't mimed, at least. Unless they used a prerecorded vocal track where she pulled the mic away from her mouth too soon a couple of times, and misjudged her breathing on a few phrases.

To be fair if you are not watching it for shits, giggles and fanjita then you aren't going to get much out of Eurovision.
Shits and giggles are also in short supply so far this year.
