After a very ropey prologue, now really getting into this. The semi-open world is perfectly realised and, as always, it's the little things that make it so great.
Was expecting the usual ho-hum after accepting a fetch quest to hunt down ten rams to feed the starving refugees, but then bundling into a locale cheekly named,
Spoiler:
Dead Ram Grove, I spot a level 10 Bear chasing after said herbivores. Things get sticky when a bunch of Templars stumble in and foolish decide to take on the bear, who proceeds to rip them apart. My quarry hops off into the dense undergrowth and I bale only, hours later, to discover a note in an abandoned cottage promising wealth and women from crafting an artifact made entirely out of bear claws....
Rarely have I seen a sequel so radically improved, its like DA2 never happened. Everything's polished to perfection (the armour looks particularly shiny on PS4 ) and the combat, once it clicks, is decent fun too, aided through a pleasantly deep crafting system.
Bioware. Back from the dead. Who'd thought?
It wasn't until I hit my thirties that I realised you could unlock rewards by exploring the map
The xbox version downloaded completely in about 3 hours (as a background download) so I don't understand why the ps4 version is going about it in such an arseways manner.
I love mixing and matching the play styles. I like to run in with sword and board, but also pause the action and set up the rest of the team, usually when fights get a little heated.
There are two things that keep springing to mind every time I play this. Firstly that I really should complete my second play through of Kingdoms of Amalur, which this game reminds me of, and secondly that I really should just get on with a third play through of Skyrim.
So I guess that's not really very good, is it, that a game is just making me want to play other things. I reckon I might start Skyrim this weekend.
How's the Knight Enchanter coming along? I just got up to the preliminary quest to make a magic sword, very amped.
Really enjoying the ranged combat in the game, the stories and characters are clicking for me now.
Initially I was REALLY enjoying this, but mostly for its looks and the exploring. Invested now, and thinking about playing as a bow and arrow person next time.
When you got movies like Tom Cruise in them, you can't lose
Knight Enchanter is great! With the right set up of skill perks your barrier basically regens itself the more damage you take while boosting your attack power. Basically you become the ultimate tank that can wail away using Spirit Blade without worry of losing serous health.
